Elizabeth Louise Nore (3/29/1932-11/13/12)
Elizabeth (Betty) Nore was an important member of the Wrangell community and loved by many. She was very active in St. Phillips Church and well known as one of the best bakers in Wrangell, especially for her famed fry bread. Betty had a tumultuous childhood but always embraced her hometown and cultural heritage. While she was not brought-up in a traditional Tlingit home, she strove to learn more about her Kiks.adi heritage in her later years.
